The overlays should be very well-fitted to the heel, which is why putting them on can be a problem. Before putting on the silicone overlay, you need to "warm it up", e.g. by rubbing it in your hand (silicone is an elastic material that reacts very well to heat). Then the overlay will become more elastic and then you need to stretch it, press it from behind onto the heel.

When choosing the size of dance shoes, it is worth considering that they should be tightly fitted to the foot, i.e. slightly smaller than everyday shoes, so that the foot does not move in the shoe while dancing. Shoes from different manufacturers of the same size in different models may differ from each other, so it is always worth trying on shoes before buying.

We suggest that dance shoes be changed and used only for dancing. In standard and Latin dances there is a different dance technique, which is why there is different footwork. In ST dances the shoes have closed toes and look more classic, in LA dances the shoes have open toes, which allows for more footwork: pointing the toes, standing on the toes, twisting and turning the foot.

The regulations of dance organizations impose restrictions on the possibility of dancing in high heels for young dancers. It is necessary to check the appropriate regulations. It is reasonable for a young, still growing foot to dance in a lower heel, which reduces the risk of injury. The height of the heel depends on the level of advancement in dance and the age of the dancer.

Block heel dance shoes are designed for girls depending on their level of dance. Block shoes are more stable.

The block heel is a low, wide heel measuring 3.5cm, which provides greater stability and safety – especially recommended for beginner dancers.

Depending on the model, the shoes can be made of satin, eco-leather or patent leather, the interior is usually lined with soft microfiber and the sole is always made of suede.

Dance shoes guarantee stability in dance. Such shoes must be well-shaped in the instep, have a short "stay", i.e. an element that serves to stabilize and improve grip during dance. This can be a thin, strong insert or a special strap that helps maintain foot stability and allows you to perform turns on heels.
