When choosing the size of dance shoes, it is worth considering that they should be tightly fitted to the foot, i.e. slightly smaller than everyday shoes, so that the foot does not move in the shoe while dancing. Shoes from different manufacturers of the same size in different models may differ from each other, so it is always worth trying on shoes before buying.

Dance shoes guarantee stability in dance. Such shoes must be well-shaped in the instep, have a short "stay", i.e. an element that serves to stabilize and improve grip during dance. This can be a thin, strong insert or a special strap that helps maintain foot stability and allows you to perform turns on heels.

Ballet shoes are shoes like slippers that fit your foot very well. In ballet shoes with a split sole, you can "feel" the dance floor more, it is easier to stand on your toes, pull your foot or bend your instep. They have a wide elastic band that holds your foot and an additional thin elastic band to tighten and adjust the ballet shoe. Leather ballet shoes are more durable and are recommended for dancers who use them very intensively. Leather absorbs sweat less than material, which means they can be washed less often.
