CRINOLINE 120

Crinoline is a bias-plaited cord used to hem dance, wedding, ball gowns, and other elegant dresses. Crinoline adds volume and shape to dresses, helping them achieve a more elaborate, full look. Crinoline is often used in combination with ruffles or other layers to create a large volume effect at the bottom of the dress. Crinoline comes in several widths: 15mm, 40mm, 80mm, 150mm, and many colors to match dance materials.

After sewing the crinoline, we pull - we slightly pull the thread from the edge, naturally shortening, gathering one side. This makes the crinoline wave, giving the bottom of the dress waves and a large volume.

We sew it onto the edge of the bottom of the skirt flat, without any slack or stretching.

A crinoline works best in dresses with a wide cut, especially ball gowns, wedding dresses, or dance dresses. It is not necessary in simple, fitted dresses.
