You can of course use elastic threads to sew stretchable materials, but this is not necessary - with the right stitch, regular machine sewing threads can give just as good an effect. Polyester threads are suitable for sewing various types of fabrics. They are versatile, strong, which makes them suitable for sewing both natural and synthetic fabrics. With such threads we can sew: lycra, crepe, velour, gabardine, georgette, satin chiffon, pearl chiffon, etc. Polyester threads work well with sewing machines and are available in a variety of colors, which allows them to be matched to different projects.

However, it is worth remembering that in the case of very delicate fabrics, such as silk or organza, cotton threads or special threads designed for sewing these materials may work better to avoid damage. Generally speaking, polyester threads are versatile and work well for most sewing projects.
