A pleat (plait in older English) is a type of fold created by doubling material on itself and securing it in place . It is commonly used in clothing and upholstery to gather a wide piece of material into a narrower circumference.

Pleated dresses made from synthetic fabrics are durable and can be washed or dry cleaned without fear of the pleats disappearing.

We pleate semicircles from materials containing 100% Polyester: georgette, satin chiffon, pearl chiffon, organza.

Here are some of them: Straight pleats - classic pleating, where the pleats are parallel and have the same width. Most often used in skirts and dresses. Asymmetrical pleats - pleats of different widths that create a slightly more modern and dynamic look. Pleats on elastic fabrics - made of stretch materials that fit well to the figure, e.g. in sportswear. Decorative pleats - used mainly in interior design elements, such as curtains or tablecloths, which introduce elegance to rooms.

Thermal pleats - a specific type of pleat, used in window blinds, which has insulating properties. Pleats in tailoring technique - can be used to decorate various clothing products, such as blouses, jackets or trousers. Each of these types of pleats has its own unique use and characteristics, which allows for their wide use in fashion and space arrangement.

Different types of materials in one color may differ slightly, this is due to differences in composition and production method. We still take care to ensure that these differences are minimal, almost imperceptible, which is why we have divided all colors into over 100 shades. For this reason, you will find e.g. RED WIKA and RED CHRISANNE CLOVER. These 2 RED colors are rather the same, but we suggest placing an order in one shade. Of course, mixing these shades on the dance floor or stage is imperceptible.

WIKA regulations do not provide for the return of cut materials, therefore we suggest purchasing material samples so that the placed order is not a lottery but a thoughtful choice.

First, determine the purpose of the dress and the occasion: everyday, formal, elegant, or dance? Should it be fitted or loose? What is its cut? What are the front and back styles? What are the top and bottom styles? Does it have sleeves and what length? What is the skirt like? Is it embellished? Finally, choose a color or color combination.

Everyday dresses are made from natural, comfortable materials: cotton and jersey.

Elegant, formal, and dance dresses are made from Lycra, crepe, stretch net with additions of georgette, satin, or tulle.
